As of May 10, 2025, this is the information we have about this car:
[Jan.01.2017] Kristian Gustafsson, who now owns 59 EB #62, provided valuable updates regarding the whereabouts and condition of several other 59 EBs including #6, #34, #52, and #97. He stated the following: Some updates on 59 EB #62. It is now located In Sweden. The information database homepage is almost correct except that the car was sold new on June 12, 1959 in Wisconsin (rather than in Michigan). The Dealer was Gustman Chevrolet-Olds-Cadillac Inc. in Marinette, Wisconsin. The original owner was Othmar H. Henes out of Menominee Michigan. Upon his death the title changed hands to his son John Henes who owned until late 2015 when he passed away. I started a frame-off restoration of the car, and I am now replacing the floor and trunk floor which were all rotten. Kristian provided two pictures of his car from back in its glory days. These pictures have been added to the gallery herewith and are reachable via the "January 2017 Update" link.
[Jan.01.2016] [January, 2016] Larry Fisette from De Pere Auto Center listed the car on eBay where it sold on January 13, 2016 for US $17,877.77. There were 67 bids. The odometer read 60560 miles. The condition of the car was as described above; however, a brand new NOS hubcap in the box was included as a replacement for the one dented hubcap.
[December, 2015] The car was purchased in December of 2015 by De Pere Auto Center from De Pere, Wisconsin. At that time, as reported in a later eBay listing, the car had a set of rear snow tires. So it can be concluded that it has been driven in the winter prior to storage. As a result, it had rusty floors, rusty rocker panels, and rust in various other places like the lower fenders and bumpers. However, the bottom of the doors were very nice and not rusted. After the car was purchased, the gas tank was removed and saved. The frame was rusty but salvageable. As the air suspension system was not functioning, steel blocks were affixed under the suspension to support the car so it could be transported. Under the hood was the Cadillac 389 CID V8, which seemed to be complete and not altered. The Rochester triple deuce carburetors were there. Even the fresh air vent for the generator were intact. The only thing missing under the hood was the washer jar. Everything else appeared to be there. The motor did not turn over. Everything on the exterior looked to be intact. The paint appeared to be original but it had highly deteriorated in many areas. There was a dent in the rear quarter panel, but all moldings were present and in excellent condition. The bezel on the backup lamp was broken, but the broken piece was there. The trunk compartment was complete with jack, tire blocks, and even the valet driver seat cover. One hubcap was dented. The interior appeared to be complete and in good, salvageable condition.
[Late 70s] The car was put into storage, where it has sat for approximately 40 years. During this time the rear window was broken, so the rear window is missing.
[1967] The car title was transferred from the mother to her son.
[1959] This Brougham was owned by a prominent family in Menominee, MI since it was new.
