tthib08.jpg (9003 bytes)
Master craftsman, Claude Thibivilliers made this superb scale replica of Jay Ohrberg's
Longest Cadillac in the World (the original was painted red)

Here is another version of the Ohrberg "stretch",
with a funeral car beside it,  in the same scale

The ref. no. of the longest Cadillac is 1005. However, Claude names this model
"Stretch Limousine by Leo Weiser", not Jay Ohrberg.
The ref. no of the Cadillac station wagon is 9,
this was a special model for the Mini Mini shop in Paris.

tthib09.jpg (7950 bytes)
Claude, who is CEO of Elegance models, in France,
made also this perfect replica of a Cadillac station wagon
conversion by Traditional Coach Works

NEW RAY (USA)

Enthusiast Taral Wayne wrote (in October, 2005): New Ray has a fascinating line of 1/43 cars. These are mainly of three types -- contemporary models (up to at least 1994), 50's and 60's classics, and foreign sports cars. They produce three different Cadillac convertibles, 1955, 1959 and 1976.   I have the 1976 Coupe de Ville in white and black, though I've switched the interiors, giving the white Caddy the cream interior, and the black one the red interior.   Since bodies and chassis are screwed together, swapping interiors is easily done.

In all three Caddy models the proportions and detail are pretty good for 1/43, and the chrome parts all more than decent. Retailing for as low as $2.91 at Wal-Mart they're a bargain. I've seen them as high as $7.89 in some variety stores, though, proving that you need to know how to shop.

IMPORTANT NOTE: these true-to-scale model cars are built and assembled with the utmost patience and care;
production numbers are VERY limited (from 12 to a maximum of 250 units of each) it is quite possible that some
models illustrated may no longer be available and cannot be re-issued; in making up these RARE models, many
photo-etched, chrome-plated or black-plated parts are used, as are also the finest decals; carpets also are depicted

Here's an odd-looking wannabe miniature Cadillac in approx. 1:3 scale; it's a 1994 Fleetwood golf cart with leather seats,
whitewall tires, in-dash fan, automatic tee [that's "tee", not "tea"] dispenser, AM-FM stereo  with electric antenna,
headlights, tail lights, brake lights, turn signals,  tinted windshield, removable fiberglass roof, trunk holds two
sets of clubs, storage under front hood; it is sold in Southern Florida; the price ranges from $13K to $15K,
depending on the selected options [Photos (left and center) : © 1993, Bob Shanley]

Trivia: The number of LMP models available is amazing, although their performance is not really great, there are different models by approximately a dozen different manufacturers in different sizes and quality.
In addition, many manufacturers offer more than one version; they offer authentic versions with different starting nos. and take into account differences from one race to another.
