Carved, Solid, Exotic Wood Models
from the Ivory Coast, in Africa

Three different exotic woods were used
All cars are beeswaxed and buffed

1937 Cadillac V16, Hartmann Roadster

The  breathtaking V16 by Hartmann of Lausanne, Switzerland, on the 1937 V16 chassis
The somewhat modified original car is in the Blackhawk collection in Danville, CA
[ the wood model reflects the original design (from period photos in my collection) ]

1942 Cadillac Fleetwood "75"

This is a 1:8 scale model of the car currently owned by Mr. Cadillac; it is the
1942 Fleetwood, Series "75", style #7519-F, formal sedan for 5 passengers
The solid ebony wheels have yet to be installed
[ in the foreground is a 1:43 scale model of a 40s Cadillac sedan ]
